Building and maintaining constructive relationships with schools – parent perspective (to be delivered to school staff)
The School Programme package aims to strengthen school staff understanding by providing the necessary tools when working with children with behaviours that challenge, executive functioning, sensory and social communication differences.
We offer a free first programme, and a nominal cost will be applied for subsequent programmes.
Programme 5, the following topics are covered:
Raise awareness of what home-school communication is like for the parent carers of children who display challenging behaviour
Reflect on why it can sometimes be difficult to build and maintain a relationship with parent carers, focusing on achieving the best possible outcomes for the learner
Share some ideas for how schools can work with parent carers to improve outcomes for everybody
The programme will be led by professionals with demonstrated experience and knowledge.
