Our work
Behaviour Support Hub is a parent-led, newly registered Charitable organisation, that provides early intervention and long-term support for parent carers. Beginning in 2014 as a Community Interest Company, a few parents came together after struggling to find the support they needed for their children diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Bringing up children is challenging for all parent carers, however, it’s difficult to imagine the reality of coping with a child with additional needs. Each day brings new challenges, even simple tasks such as washing and dressing can present serious obstacles, which frustrate, delay and upset the equilibrium.
Children grow quickly and each age brings different challenges, particularly with a child whose chronological age doesn’t match their social and emotional development. For parent carers of children with behaviours that challenge it can be physically, emotionally, and mentally draining daily.
We provide a wide range of programmes tailored to help parent carers navigate the challenges they face and achieve a better quality of life for themselves, their children and their family.

Statistics
These figures are those diagnosed, with many more families left struggling to navigate the diagnosis process.
Research shows that parent carers of children with additional learning needs, in particular ASD and ADHD, experience increased levels of stress, anxiety, depression, and poorer physical health. This is proven to lead to a decreased health-related quality of life in comparison with parent carer of neurotypical children or children with other disabilities.
