School programme 6
Building and maintaining constructive relationships with parent carers – school perspective (to be delivered to parent carers)
The School Programme package aims to strengthen school staff understanding by providing the necessary tools when working with children with behaviours that challenge, executive functioning, sensory and social communication differences.
We offer a free first programme, and a nominal cost will be applied for subsequent programmes.
Programme 6, the following topics are covered:
- Raise awareness of the challenges schools face with communicating to home about a child’s behaviour
- Reflect on why it can sometimes be difficult to build and maintain a relationship with the school that focuses on achieving the best possible outcomes for your child
- Develop a greater understanding of some of the key changes happening to education in Wales
- Share some ideas for how parents can work with schools to improve outcomes for everybody
The programme will be led by professionals with demonstrated experience and knowledge.
